Whats tty mode on my cell?

tty is a method of communicating used by the deaf... Since they cant hear a phoen conversation, tty will translate the phone conversation into text by using local TTY office or operator or 'translator'..... its ALOT like IM'ing and texting... but, both the user and recipient must have tty activated
