Why do people try to help others with depression by saying stuff like?

Well of you believe in God's ways, better yet, God himself then you'd know that God didn't give someone depression to hurt them, he did it for a reason, in the future it will help them in some way. And the statement "Things will get better" meaning things can"t stay the same forever, meaning, it WILL get better one way or another. Weather it may not seem like it, it will, no worries.
