What is this pink thing hanging from my vagina?

hi there is this fleshy pink thing i had noticed about a year ago when i first got my period. its about an inch long and hangs out of my vagina. im really worried, is this normal?? right now i kind of tuck it into the ummm flaps. i really dont want to see a doctor about this so pleeeease help:(!!
