Nice or not...would you do this?

Not a chance! I'm in a similar situation and have had this pulled on me and it didn't work either. He pays child support and it's not his fault that she can't pay the bills, they are not his responsibility, they are hers. She should have known that she couldn't afford it. It's hard when the kids ask for things so they can have them, but the problem is that she is the one that is making him do without, not you or your hubby. A problem that I have is that knowing that she will benefit from it more than the child will. I'm not paying for her internet access or anything else.
